THE MILLCROFT INN & SPA WEDDING
If you have followed me for some time, you may know that I love getting out of town whenever I can. Anywhere, really, as long as the rows of houses that look all the same end. Caledon is one of those regions that is just a few steps away, but still feels like a different world. Rolling hills and beautiful views, rivers, orchards, wild(ish) nature and sweet, cozy spots put Caledon on the top of my mini getaway list.
I know this post is not supposed to be about me and my hedonistic personality, but you sort of need to know that about me to realize how much I enjoyed photographing a wedding at Caledon’s Millcroft Inn & Spa. And before I tell you anything about the wedding, you also need to know that the couple owns a giant, friendly, white dog and dogs taking part in weddings is something that makes me smile more than the sappiest speech 🙂
Since I now don’t have much space to write about the actual wedding, you can only imagine how great this easygoing couple is. They certainly know how to enjoy each and every moment together. They seem to have this crazy kind of love that gives you goosebumps. The kind of feeling that develops between people who have experienced many long evenings sitting in front of the campfire. The kind of feeling that makes you forgive your partner after he lets the skunk-sprayed dog into the house and forces you to air the wedding dress for weeks, so it smells crisp and lavendery again the day of your wedding (true story 🙂 )
Guys, I want to see you again at the same location in some 50 years, renewing your vows after your spend your morning soaking your arthritic bodies in the Millcroft Inn’s hot tubs 🙂 And I really hope you will throw as awesome of a party as you just did in August! I can definitely see you still dancing in your 80s, surrounded by your families and your squad!
