Do you know what shinrin-yoku is? It’s a Japanese practice of immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the forest . The “forest bathing” – experiencing sights, smells and sounds of nature during a pleasurable, slow walk, leads to deep relaxation, which affects your entire body. I’ve been practicing it since I was a child, without really knowing that it has a name and it’s one of the experiences you can book (yup, it’s crazy that some consider it bookable and payable experience). It works oh sooooo well that when I asked Dipinder and Tanish to lie down on the blanket for just a few photos, they didn’t want to get up and wanted to just stay there, enjoying the moment…. Yes, it helped that they are already in love, but then I truly believe that the magic of the forest totally worked too. Just look at how happy and relaxed those two guys are together. And that’s in front of camera of an absolute stranger (though a relaxed one, lol) that they only met a few minutes earlier. Oh well, stranger no more!
Dipinder & Tanish, we loved working with you and we wish you all the best. I hope your 50th anniversary is as love filled as this first one.
