My name is Patrycja and I am the creative spirit behind the images here at Catching Fireflies.
I live in Truro, Nova Scotia, right in the picturesque, heritage downtown, filled with colorful homes and unique little stores.
Detours through small towns, dipping my feet in the ocean in early spring, and drinking double earl grey tea are just some of the things I cannot live without.
I have two kids, husband Chris, who spoils me with a never-ending supply of home-made wine, a border collie, and 2 cats.
I am a memory maker. I document connections between people, tiny bits of happiness, and smiles that are real. There will never be another day like TODAY and I feel so truly honored when people who recognize that choose me to share their stories.
My studio work is full of textures, layers, and natural elements. Organic with a touch of magic is what I find myself most attracted to. I love how this style transfers to luxurious wall displays, transforms empty walls, and adds warmth and character to my clients’ homes.
If you choose me to document your life, expect to enter the “comfy” zone. I will offer you guidance before and during the session, and I will let you know how to prepare yourself and your child for the experience. But ultimately, when it comes to the session itself, you just need to be you, and ready for a little adventure. I hope you join me there!
